I cofounded the non-profit organization STEMBridge in June of 2025 along with two other colleagues. Our vision is to empower students and help them confidently navigate the journey from high school to university through providing STEM education, university preparation, and real-world mentorship.
My Role
Outside of my administrative responsibilities as co-founder and co-president, I am also the Chief of Math Curriculum and Head of Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Math is one of the most crucial and foundational subjects, particularly in the STEM field. It is both an important portfolio piece for university applications and a subject that experiences a rapid jump in difficulty from high school to uni (especially so for first year engineering). At STEMBridge I develop and teach lessons for both provincial curriculum and contest math to help everyone reach their desired goals.
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) is a huge focus of first year engineering that is rarely taught in High School. This can bring stress and struggle to what should be an enjoyable experience. I provide lessons on basic CAD techniques in software such as Autodesk Inventor to bridge this gap, clearing the way for creativity and freedom down the line.
Giving Back to Those In Need
Another big part of our STEMBridge initiative is donating all profits to cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, the largest cancer research, teaching and treatment centre in Canada. As we continue to grow, we project to have raised upwards of $5000 dollars by September of 2026. Huge thanks and congratulations to everyone who has volunteered with us or has taken one of our courses, we could not have done it without you!
